Special squads of militia are trained to disperse the meetings of opposition

In the middle of December 2003 the trainings of special militia squads were organized with the support of minister Mykola Bilokon. The law-enforcers were trained to establish public order at meetings.
Mukachevo militia carries out the mass arrests for participation in the protest meeting

On 31 December the Mukachevo militia started the illegal arrests of the deputies of the town council and representatives of private enterprises, who took part in the protest meeting near the building of the mayors office, which was held on 30 December.

The appeal of advocates Viktor Ageev and Andrey Fedur on the draft of the Criminal-Procedural Code. The advocates welcome the decision of the Supreme Rada to stop the consideration of the draft of the Criminal-Procedural Code prepared by the group headed by Gennadiy Vasilyev.

The authors of the appeal pointed out the drawbacks of the draft the new Criminal-Procedural Code and turned to the head of the Supreme Rada and MPs with the request to direct the draft for the second reading.
Youth demands the apologies of law-enforcing organs

On 15 July the Youth Rukh and Youth Nationalistic Congress made public the appeal to the militia directorates of the Rivne and Volyn oblasts, demanding to explain the actions of law-enforcing organs and to apologize to the participants of the camp "Proshchanitsa-2003".

On 11 July the special squads of militia attacked the youth historical camp "Proshchanitsa-2003" that studied the events connected with the Polish-Ukrainian conflict during the WW2. The law-enforcers also did not permit the Ukrainian patriots to take part in the official commemorative meeting devoted to these events.
