Parliament ratifies UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol

The Convention commits member states to ensure and promote full exercise of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all people with disabilities without any discrimination.
By ratifying this document, the authorities commit themselves to closely consult with people with disabilities when drawing up and applying legislation and strategies aimed at implementing the Convention. They also promise to use all proper measures to eliminate discrimination against people with disabilities in all aspects of their life.
