The Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal has begun its substantive examination of the appeal lodged by Channel 5 and TVi against two channels of the Inter Media Group (owned by media magnate and Head of the Security Service, Valery Khoroshkovsky). The appeal is against the ruling on 8 June by which the District Administrative Court in Kyiv allowed the law suit brought by the two Inter Group channels [NTN and Enter Film] against the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council and annulled the results of the tender for broadcasting licenses from 27 January.

After rejecting 10 applications from the parties, the panel of judges presided over by Anatoly Denisov, heard amendments to the appeal from TVi and adjourned until 9 a.m. on 27 August. Telekritika says that it was learned at the hearing, that STB has joined the appeal, also calling for the ruling of 8 June to be revoked.
