No money for the courts anywhere – except Donetsk

In 2012 tenders have already been held for 11.75 million UAH for repairs to Donetsk courts. No other region in the country has received similar funding for repairs to local courts.

The public spending watchdog “Nashi hroshi” [Our Money] continues to highlight interesting information gleaned from the Public Procurement Herald. It reports that the Donetsk Regional Department of the State Judicial Administration, on the basis of tenders in June and July, entered into a number of contracts for repairs to court premises for an overall amount of 7.95 million UAH [1 EUR = 10.5 UAH].  It ordered routine reparirs in 23 courts in the Donetsk region.

The limited liability company “Construction Alliance” received contracts for repairs amounting to 6.93 million UAH.  The same company won all the tenders from the same Donetsk Regional Department of the State Judicial Administration in May, to the tune of 3.80 million UAH.

Small contracts were received by three other contractors.

This means that in 2012 tenders have already been held for 11.75 million UAH for repairs to Donetsk courts. No other region in the country has received similar funding for repairs to local courts.

The article in Nashi Hroshi gives a list of the courts together with an explanation of what the repairs are.  The prices seem extremely high.
