Pavel Kolesnik reports that on Sunday evening at around 19.00 Oleh Bohdanov, journalist of the civic watchdog which monitors drivers’ rights Dorozhny Kontrol [Road Control] was brutally attacked by two athletic looking thugs.  He says that they beat him up outside his apartment block in full view of his wife, children and anybody else around at the time and clearly felt confident of full impunity.  Oleh is now in hospital with a broken jaw, nose and numerous bruises. They also hit him around the kidneys.

He has received telephone threats before and last November his car was set alight. The culprits have not been found.

The report says that he recently took part in a “civic raid” monitoring observance of the law by traffic police officers, and it’s clear that he can expect no help from the police.
