SBU exhibition of declassified archival documents regarding Holodomor

On 24 November at 10.00 in “Ukrainian House” an exhibition begins of archival documents of the Ukrainian Security Service about Holodomor 1932-1933 “Memory declassified”.

The SBU Press Centre reports that the exhibition presents archival documents declassified by the SBU from Soviet State Security bodies which give details about Holodomor 1932-1933.  There are around 5 thousand pages of these documents.

The exhibits include orders and directives from the KGB [then the GPU], secret official correspondence and operational and statistical reports on the repressions in rural areas, archival criminal cases of victims of the punitive policy of the communist regime, evidence from witnesses, material from the letters of peasants, Red Army soldiers, and representatives of other groups of the population censored by Cheka officers,
