Three more protesters sentenced in Minsk
On 27 May a Belarusian court sentenced three participants in the unauthorized protest action of business people which took place in January this year. They were accused of breaching public order.
The Minsk Central District Court sentenced two of those accused to two years restriction of liberty, and another who is underage to one and a half years.
14 people were charged in this case, 10 being sentenced earlier – one to one and a half years imprisonment, and the others to corrective labour and fines.
On 10 January 2008 the business people came out onto the street in protest against the Presidents decree restricting hired labour.
