Roundtable: Human rights in the work of the police
The Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union cordially invites you to a roundtable on human rights in the work of the police on 6 July 2009. The event will also be an opportunity to see and receive a copy of the latest human rights organizations’ reports Human Rights in Ukraine – 2008, which will be available to all participants in Ukrainian or English.
The roundtable will concentrate on specific issues regarding observance of human rights by the law enforcement agencies during 2008, while also considering recommendations put forward which could improve the situation.
Participants will include representatives of human rights organizations, specialists, representatives of the authorities, members of international organizations and embassies of different countries.
There will be simultaneous interpreting into English.
