The meeting on Wednesday approved a plan for nationwide measures to mark Remembrance Day for the Victims of Holodomor – Genocide 1932-1933 in Ukraine, under the general name: “Holodomor 1932-1933 was genocide. Remember”.

In the public appeal, also approved, there is a call for all churches and religious organizations, to hold prayers and take part in remembrance ceremonies for the Victims of Holodomor.

It calls on political parties, civic organizations and other institutions of civic society on an apolitical basis, without any party or other symbols, under the national flag with ribbons of mourning in Kyiv and at regional level, to unite on 27 November in this act of remembrance.

The fourth Saturday in November is Remembrance Day for the Victims of Holodomor and Political Repression.
