The guards stationed outside the ward of former Minister of Internal Affairs and leader of the People’s Self-Defence Party have used force to push journalists out of the premises. They also refused to allow two National Deputies to visit Yury Lutsenko.

The guards stationed outside the ward of former Minister of Internal Affairs and leader of the People’s Self-Defence Party who was moved from the Kyiv SIZO [pre-trial detention unit] to hospital on Tuesday, used force to push journalists out of the premises.

An UNIAN correspondent reports that around 8 officers in black clothes and head covering used force to push journalists and television crews from part of the corridor claiming that this was so that a patient could be transported by lift.  None of the guards have any stripes on their uniforms to indicate which law enforcement structure they are from.

The same guards also refused to allow National Deputies Yury Hrymchak and Taras Stetskiv into Lutsenko’s ward.
