The court has again refused to release former Prime Minister and leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko from custody. The Head of the European Commission Representation in Ukraine Jose Manuel Pintu Teisheira left the courtroom after this decision was announced

 

The court has again refused to release former Prime Minister and leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko from custody.

The decision was announced after Judge Kireyev returned from a break to consider the appeals from three Churches, the Human Rights Ombudsperson Nina Karpachova, and National Deputies.

There were shouts in the courtroom of “Shame!”

The EU Ambassador in Ukraine Jose Manuel Pintu Teisheira left the courtroom after this decision was announced.
