Tymoshenko’s daughter invited to PACE meeting
Interfax – Ukraine cites the PACE Press Service in reporting that Yevgenia Carr, daughter of the former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has been invited to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The invitation is apparently for Monday afternoon and will coincide with the scheduled address from Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Kostyantyn Hryshchenko.
The Press Service also say that there may be a debate on the current situation in Ukraine.
It became clear last week that the trial of Yulia Tymoshenko was still continuing, despite clear warnings of its likely repercussions from the EU, USA as well as from within Ukraine. It was announced late in the week that the court’s verdict would be issued around 11 October.
