Another criminal investigation against former Minister in Tymoshenko’s government

The former Minister of the Coal Industry in Yulia Tymoshenko’s government, Viktor Poltavets is suspected of involvement in financial misuse of public funding linked with the coal industry. This was announced at a press conference on Tuesday by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Anatoly Mohylyov.

“A criminal investigation has been initiated over cases of financial misuse with the movement of public funding linked with the coal industry. As part of this investigation, bearing in mind the large number of structures and firms involved in this chain, searches have been carried out. Given that Poltavets was Minister of the Coal Industry, there is data in the material of the case about his possible involvement”.

As report, last Thursday police carried out a search of Mr Poltavets’ home.
