7 Hostages released, one seriously wounded

Navy Commander Serhiy Haiduk, Andriy Shchekun, Anatoly Kovalsky and several other people abducted in the Crimea have been released. According to first reports, one hostage - Yury Shevchenko is seriously injured

Following negotiations last night, Navy Commander Serhiy Haiduk, Andriy Shchekun, Anatoly Kovalsky and several other people abducted in the Crimea have been released.  According to Serhiy Kovalsky, his father and the others are understood to have been exchanged but he did not specify for whom.  According to first reports, one hostage - Yury Shevchenko is seriously injured, two others have shock pistol wounds.  

The other men released are apparently: Mykhailo Davydenko, Maxim Tryvidenko; Serhiy Suprun; Yury Shevchenko and Oleksy Grytsenko.

The whereabouts of at least two others: Yury Gruzynov and Yaroslav Pylunsky are unknown.

In the case of one of the Ukrainian activists Andriy Shchekun, the head of the self-proclaimed government in the Crimea Sergei Aksenov publicly stated that he had been detained "for subversive activities".   Serhiy Haiduk, head of the Ukrainian Navy was abducted on March 20 after Russian and / or pro-Russian forces stormed two Ukrainian navy bases in the Crimea.
