Moscow City Court overturns courts refusal to rehabilitate Nikolai II
The Moscow City Court has overturned the ruling of the Tverskoy Court which refused to rehabilitate Tsar Nikolai II and the members of his family. In so doing, the court allowed the cassation appeal of lawyer German Lukyanov, representing the interests of the last Russian Tsars descendants.
In July the Tverskoy Court upheld the refusal of the Prosecutor General to recognize the members of the Tsars family to have been victims of political repression, since the decision to shoot the Romanovs in 1918 had been taken by an extra-judicial body.
