A public campaign has been launched in the Volyn region in support of rural libraries with organizations, businesses, local authorities and members of the public asked to donate books they don’t need
A public campaign has been launched in the Volyn region in support of rural libraries. The regional Department of Culture and Tourism has asked bodies of local self-government, business and institutions, political parties and civic organizations, as well as other sponsors, to donate books.
There is a place for bringing books at each library in Lutsk. In district centres and towns in the Volyn region you can hand books in to the central libraries which will distribute them around the rural collections.
This is not the first year that this excellent campaign is running. During 2006 4 thousand three hundred books were distributed to rural libraries, in 2007 – 3.5 thousand.
