New Internet site: “Against Torture”

The Kharkiv Human Rights Group, in conjunction with the “Maidan” website, have developed a new Internet resource “Against Torture”. Torture and ill-treatment, unfortunately, remain fairly widespread in the police force and penal institutions. The new website is aimed at preventing this shameful practice, and will publish various materials on the subject, including reports from the media. Additional information is also planned, as well as a section “Practical advice” and a complaints book where people can report cases of torture or ill-treatment.
