BYuT claims Security Service stormed its office in Simferopol

According to the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko’s Press Service, on Wednesday morning, a group of armed officers of the Security Service [SBU] wearing masks blocked the office of the Crimean branch of the Batkivshchyna [Motherland] Party.

The press release stated that the work of the office had been paralysed, that the employees were not being allowed to move freely and were blocked in their rooms. It said that the men in masks were not letting anyone in or out, and that reporters had also been stopped from entering the building.

BYuT states that the SBU officers said they were looking for commercial firms although there had never been any there.

The press release states that before these events the party had begun providing consultations regarding subsidies due to the increase in gas tariffs, and that other actions of the authorities had also been criticized.
