The Ukrainian Association for Religious Freedom at a recent meeting pointed to a a worsening in relations between faiths. The reason for this was seen as being the special attitude to one particular Church demonstrated by those in power

The Council of the Ukrainian Association for Religious Freedom expressed concern over the situation during its meeting on 25 October.

Those present at the meeting analyzed religious freedom in Ukraine and pointed to a worsening in relations between faiths. The reason for this was seen as being the special attitude to one particular Church demonstrated by those in power, as well as cases of effective discrimination against all others.

It was also noted that the new version of the Law on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations is not being prepared in a public manner and with discussion of its provisions among all interested parties, including representatives of the Churches and religious organizations, experts and believers wishing to take part. .
