Traffic police accused of preventing 140 coaches with protesters from coming to Kyiv

According to the organizers of the protest actions on Maidan Nezalezhnosti [Independence Square], the police prevented 140 coaches with people from various regions from reaching Kyiv for the protest against the Tax Code. At present the traffic police have not commented.

As of late morning, there are around 3 thousand demonstrators on Independence Square protesting against the Tax Code passed by parliament last week.  

They are also planning to head to the President’s Administration, calling on President Yanukovych to veto the Code.
