MIA puts pressure on drivers for criminal proceedings against tax code protesters

Drivers report that traffic police officers have been stopping cars and asking the drivers to sign statements that they witnessed the blocking of the street by small business owners during the 22 November protest

Ukrainska Pravda has been informed by drivers that the  Ministry of Internal Affairs is gathering testimony from witnesses as part of their criminal investigation over the blocking of the roads during the protest against the Tax Code on 22 November.

Drivers report that on Monday traffic police officers stopped cars in the same place and asked the drivers to sign statements that they had witnessed the blocking of the street by the small business owner demonstrators.

On Thursday one of those who spoke with Ukrainska Pravda had been summoned to give testimony to the MIA CID.

Ukrainska Pravda reports that according to their information, the investigators are ringing people up asking them to come to the department and give evidence. They are reminded that if they refuse, a forced summons could be applied.
