Court bans recordings of Lutsenko trial
The Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has banned photo, audio- and video-recording of the trial against former Minister of Internal Affairs in Tymoshenko’s government, and leader of the People’s Self-Defence Party, Yury Lutsenko.
Judge Vovk made the announcement on Thursday morning saying that this was because witnesses were to be questioned and material would be examined containing secret information.
The arguments from Yury Lutsenko and his lawyers that there is secret material only on 4 pages was ignored.
Ukrainska Pravad also reports that the guards were not admitting journalists at all, after warning that only representatives of six television channels and six printed media outlets would be admitted.
