Police remove books during peaceful protest against Morality Law
During a protest on Wednesday against the new draft Law on Protection of Public Morality, police officers removed books containing a selection of expert analyses and commentaries on the Law. They also refused to allow them to be taken into hearings being held in the Verkhovna Rada giving no reason for this.
Kostyantin Reutsky, who was at the protest and witnesses the police actions, adds that the police officers did not identify themselves.
The organizers assume that the reason for the police officers’ behaviour may have been the book’cover. .
