Tymoshenko taken to Kharkiv penal colony
Former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition Batkivshchyna Party was apparently taken from the Kyiv detention centre to the Kachanivska Penal Colony in Kharkiv early on Friday morning
According to a Channel 5 reporter waiting outside the Kyiv SIZO [Detention Centre] where Yulia Tymoshenko, former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition Batkivshchyna Party, has been held since August this year, Ms Tymoshenko has been taken to the Kachanivska Penal Colony in Kharkiv. This information was apparently confirmed by the State Penitentiary Service (whose official website leaves a great deal to be desired, like access to information – translator).
