The Head of the Crimean Branch of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine [CVU] Andriy Krysko reports that at many polling stations in a number of single-mandate electoral districts CVU observers have not been admitted. He told Radio Svoboda that “serious concern is elicited by the removal of observers from civic organizations from the district commission s on No. 4 and No. 10 which analysts had earlier identified as most problematical.”

Mr Krysko said that among the serious infringements recorded in the morning were reports that the voting booths in Yalta had no curtains this being an infringement of Article 7 on voting in private.

At many polling stations observers and members of the commissions are using badges with party symbols, while at some there are no facilities in Braille.
