A Dnipropetrovsk court has prohibited Oleksandr Tymoshenko, husband of the imprisoned former Prime Minister and opposition leader, from using shares from his Czech company Britico Product sro. Mr Tymoshenko has been granted political asylum in the Czech Republic

A Dnipropetrovsk court has allowed an application from the State Tax Administration and prohibited Oleksandr Tymoshenko, husband of the imprisoned former Prime Minister and opposition leader, from using shares from his Czech company Britico Product sro.

The application would appear to have been in connection with a court ruling from the Pechersky District Court in Kyiv which imposed an administrative fine on Oleksandr Tymoshenko of 595 UAH (less than 50 EUR) together with confiscation by the State of illegally obtained foreign currency – shares of the said company.

Mr Tymoshenko is prohibited from doing anything at all in connection with these shares.

Oleksandr Tymoshenko was granted political asylum in the Czech Republic in January this year soon after making his application.
