KHPG demands immediate measures to avoid bloodshed during separatist rally
The Kharkiv Human Rights Group has issued an appeal to the police and security service [SBU] regarding the separatist demonstration planned in Kharkiv for 16.00 on Thursday, March 20. Information circulating on the Internet says that a mass demonstration is planned near the regional administration building. The event is aimed at calling the Kharkiv region’s autonomy and holding a referendum on federalization.
"We ask for measures to be taking IMMEDIATELY to prevent unlawful separatist action and mass disturbances which could have tragic consequences."
