Young student activist arrested in Crimea
On May 16 Alexander Kolchenko, student and environmental activist was arrested in broad daylight by men in plain clothes, believed to be FSB officers. There is no information about what he is accused of, however he is believed to be in custody and to shortly be sent to Moscow for further investigation, like Oleg Sentsov whose detention we reported earlier,
Crimean civic activist Oleksandra Dvoretska knows Kolchenko well and says that he needs maximum support from Russian lawyers and from the public generally. His arrest is a huge blow, she writes, for his family, friends and all who know him.
