Another railway bridge bombed in Donbas
The latest explosion occurred at around 13.00 on Monday July 7 near Novobakhmutovka while a freight train was passing through. There are still no reports of casualties, however the explosion damaged the railway bridge over the road from Slovyansk through Donetsk to Mariupol.
This is just the latest of at very least four explosions believed to be the work of Kremlin-backed militants. As reported, there were two explosions on the tracks of a railway bridge near the village of Zeleny Kolodyzm in the Kharkiv oblast in the early hours of June 29. A bomb blast damaged a railway bridge in the Zaporizhya oblast also during the early hours of June 24, and there were two explosions on the railways in the Luhansk oblast on June 27
The Ministry for Infrastructure puts the cost of rectifying all damage caused since fighting began at around 15 million UAH.
