Human Rights Offside – Kharkiv

On 16 June Kharkiv residents as well as visitors to the city had the opportunity to see the “Human Rights Offside” Exhibition, timed to coincide with the Euro 2012 Championship.
As reported here, the exhibition has been organized by the Centre for Civil Liberties in partnership with the Czech NGO People in Need and provides insight about: political repression in today’s Ukraine; police torture and ill-treatment; assault on freedom of speech; social inequality and pressure on the judiciary.
