According to the Crimean branch of the Batkivshchyna [Motherland] Party, on Thursday the tax police tried to remove several video cameras from the TV Chornomorska Channel.  As reported, last week the television and radio company’s bank accounts were seized. Chornomorska is one of the most popular TV channels in the Crimea and considered the main media resource of the Crimean opposition.

According to the Head of the company who is, apparently, also a Deputy of the Crimean Parliament from the BYuT faction (Tymoshenko’s faction], “At first they seized Chornomorka’s property, then they froze its accounts. They would seem to have decided that that’s too little and now they’ve tried to take away our equipment.”
