The body has been found of a Crimean Tatar, Reshat Ametov who was abducted from a protest outside the Cabinet of Ministers building in Simferopol [UPDATED]

The body has been found of a Crimean Tatar, Reshat Ametov who disappeared on March 3.  Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People stated on Monday that Reshat Ametov’s body was found with signs of torture on March 15.  Born in 1975, he was married with 3 small children, the youngest just two and a half months old.

Initial reports said that he had set off f for the military enlistment office following the announcement of partial mobilization. The military enlistment office had, before that, been seized by Russian military and Crimean vigilantes.

Human Rights Watch has, however, just issued a call for a full investigation into Reshat Ametov's murder.  They have been told by his relatives that he was last seen during a protest on March 3, 2014, on Lenin Square in Simferopol , where three unidentified men in military-style jackets took him away. Relatives’ efforts to locate him, including through a complaint to the police, were unsuccessful.

His relatives also say that Ametov regularly approached the authorities regarding local matters and discussed Crimean Tatar issues, and the future of the Crimea on his facebook page.
