Soldiers’ mothers improve their skills

On 6 April 2001 Kharkov Union of soldiers’ mothers held a training seminar for volunteers of their organization. The training was supported by the National democratic institute of international relations. 25 volunteers of the Union of soldiers’ mothers from Kharkov and the Kharkov oblast participated in the seminar. F. Ibragimov, a legal consultant of the oblast recruiting committee, told about the legal aspects of army service. Besides, medical examination of recruits, social problems of servicemen and their families were discussed. The participants were especially interested in practical trainings conducted under the guidance of experienced workers of the Union. All the participants got the materials compiled by Kharkov Union of soldiers’ mothers. These documents will be of use for self-education. Each volunteer obtained a certificate on his participation in the training seminar.
