Seven Rivne residents accused of selling 40 women into slavery
In Rivne police officers have arrested seven local residents aged between 34 and 44. They are believed to have organized a network in western regions of Ukrainian for recruiting young women into sexual slavery.
The public liaison department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs report that the individuals arrested are accused of having over the last seven years sent around 40 women to European countries where they were sold to pimps for sexual exploitation.
The victims have returned to Ukraine.
