Vasily Aleksanians lawyers still not given access
Drew Holiner, Vasily Aleksanians representative at the European Court of Human Rights reports that his lawyers have not been allowed to see their client. He stresses that this is in breach of the European Convention on Human Rights.
It was reported on Tuesday that Mr Aleksanians father had also been refused access.
Mr Holiner confirmed that his Vasily Aleksanian has been placed in a specialized clinic, however it is not for people suffering from AIDS and concomitant illnesses and does not therefore comply with the European Courts directive.
He stresses that without access, the lawyers are unable to say whether the treatment Mr Aleksanian is receiving and the hospital conditions are satisfactory.
