The St Petersburg City Court has declared the arrest of Maxim Reznik, leader of the St Petersburg branch of the Yabloko Party to have been unlawful. Reznik was accused of using force against police officers and insulting them.

Only one man, only (perhaps) a couple of months in custody – is this why the Western media is so depressingly uninterested in the remand in custody of St Petersburg opposition politician Maxim Reznik? What about only the first brazen arrest on trumped up charges following Medvedevs “victory” on 2 March?.
