Pukach trial to be held behind closed doors
None of the hearings in the trial of former police colonel Oleksy Pukach charged with the murder of Georgy Gongadze will be in an open court
The Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has decided that the trial of former police colonel Oleksy Pukach on charges over the murder of Georgy Gongadze will not be in an open court. Journalists were informed by the lawyer representing Georgy’s mother, Lesya Gongadze, Andriy Fedur. He said that the decision had been taken on Thursday, and all hearings without exception are to be behind closed doors.. The hearing is scheduled for 7 July. He said that all applications from lawyers, aside from the civil suit brought by Georgy Gongadze’s widow, Myroslava were rejected.
