Jornalists draw up a Corruption Map

As reported, journalists had planned to mark Journalist Day on 6 June by presenting “Kyiv. Map of Corruption”, a map for tourists highlighting places linked with high-profile corruption investigations.  Since Mezhyhirya, the President’s residence which he has only shown a part of to carefully selected journalists, is on the map, the idea was to present it near Mezhyhirya.  This was thwarted by the court.

Mezhyhirya has been the subject of a number of journalist investigations uncovering shocking facts of corruption.

The journalists hoped to draw the attention of the authorities and the public to the fact that none of the journalist investigations lead to any appropriate response from those in power.

“Kyiv. Map of Corruption” sets out the 19 most scandalous incidences of corruption researched by journalists and then ignored by the authorities. Most of these facts are not mentioned by the Ukrainian media.

The map is in Ukrainian and English.  (it can be enlarged in the original here

Information about Mezhyhirya can be found here in English
