Tymoshenko to miss court hearing on 25 June

On the recommendation of her German doctors, former Prime Minister and opposition leader, Yulia Tymoshenko will not be attending the court hearing on charges of tax evasion on 25 June.  The trial is scheduled to begin on Monday in Kharkiv.  The State Penitentiary Service informed that Ms Tymoshenko would be excused from attending after her doctors said that her health would suffer if she was moved from the hospital where she has been receiving treatment.

It is now not clear whether the court hearings in Kharkiv will begin on Monday.
