Ukraine holds 105th place out of 168 countries according to the Reporters without Borders Worldwide Press Freedom Index. Of other CIS countries Russia is in 147th, Belarus 151st, Uzbekistan - 155th, while Turkmenistan is labelled one of the three worst violators of free expression (in 167th place)
