Serhiy Hrishchenkov was probably targeted for his pro-Ukrainian position and held in isolation for 13 months while the Russian FSB used torture, threats against his family or similar to extract ‘a confession’

The move is clearly aimed at silencing voices in defence of Russia’s ever-mounting number of political prisoners, including those from occupied parts of Ukraine.
