Yehor Vorobyov, journalist from TV Espreso has been taken prisoner while covering the siege of Ilovaisk in the Donetsk oblast.  He had been there, together with the besieged Ukrainian soldiers since Aug 25.  The information was provided to Radio Svoboda by Mykola Knyazhytsky MP and one of the founders of TV Espreso.

He in turn had been informed by TV Espreso cameraman Taras Chkan and Road Control journalist Rostislav Shaposhnikov who had been working together with Vorobyov.  Knyazhytsky reports that the latter two are probably now in safety, but gave no details.  Efforts are underway, he said, to free Vorobyov.

Journalist Olena Solodovnikova reported on Monday as well as that Yehor Vorobyov had been taken prisoner by Russian soldiers.

TV Espreso still has no news of the other two men and has called on the President and the ministers of defence and the interior, as well as the head of the security service, to help get all three men freed.
