Journalist Dmytro Potekhin seized by militants

Dmytro Potekhin, well-known journalist, blogger and civic activist, was abducted in Donetsk on Aug 7 by Kremlin-backed militants.   According to the information his relatives have received, Potekhin was first held in another place, but then moved to the basement of the Isolatsia Centre for cultural initiatives, seized by the militants some time ago.  The centre is now believed to be the base of the Vostok Battalion, a Russian battalion which first appeared on the scene, with many Chechen fighters, towards the end of May, just after the presidential elections

Witnesses say that Potekhin is accused of ‘spying’.
