Human rights group demands an explanation from the Head of the Russian FSB
Rustam Muminov was deported from Russia on 24 October after the European Court of Human Rights had called for the deportation procedure to be halted
The human rights Civic Assistance Committee has addressed an open letter to the Director of the Russian FSB Nikolai Patrushev in which it demands an explanation for the deportation of Uzbek national, Rustam Muminov. According to the human rights activists, Russia as a signatory to the European Convention on Human Rights bears responsibility for this step. Muminov was deported on 24 October after the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg had passed a ruling calling for the deportation procedure to be halted. Muminov is accused by the Uzbekistan authorities of extremism and involvement in the events in Andijon.
