If you answered our call and added your vote, thank you! The park remains under threat of destruction with a part of it having been taken away through a suspect local authority decision and could be flooded if Energoatom has its way
This result of the Internet vote is a boost for this State-owned regional landscape park with its unique wildlife and flora and monuments of historical and cultural heritage. If you answered our call and added your vote, thank you! The park remains under threat of destruction with a part of it having been taken away, though an extremely suspect local authority decision and handed to the Ukrainian National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom. The company is planning to flood it and make it the tail end of the Alexandrovsky Reservoir, servicing the Tashlyk Hydro Accumulating Power Station. More information can be found here.
This is an important victory, albeit symbolic, which we now need to act on.
