The park remains under threat of destruction with a part of it having been taken away, though an extremely suspect local authority decision and handed to the Ukrainian National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom. The company is planning to flood it and make it the tail end of the Alexandrovsky Reservoir, servicing the Tashlyk Hydro Accumulating Power Station. More information can be found here.
