Russia’s “most falsified Ukrainian show trial” has taken on yet another cynical twist with Mykola Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh each ordered to pay 500 thousand roubles ‘compensation’ for a death that neither man had anything to do with in a country that neither had set foot in

Ukraine refuses asylum to journalist facing persecution in Kazakhstan
03.05.2018
Ukraine’s Migration Service has refused to explain to Detector Media why it rejected Kazakhstani journalist and opposition activist Zhanara Akhmet’s request for asylum. Simply claiming that the information is ‘confidential’ and contains personal data will not do given the serious grounds for believing that Akhmet will face persecution if forcibly returned to Kazakhstan.

The day Russia lost Odesa and launched a lethal propaganda lie used to kill in Donbas
02.05.2018
Those who find only humour in the mention by Donald Trump’s adviser of a ‘Bowling Green Massacre’ that never happened should think again. It is dangerously easy to then convince people it did happen, and there is nothing funny about stories of an invented ‘massacre’ used to send young men to die or to kill others. That is precisely what Russia launched exactly four years ago

Russia abducts, tortures and imprisons Ukrainians. And Ukraine?
27.04.2018
Ukraine’s legislators are still dragging their feet on vital legislation needed to support Russia’s ever-rising number of Ukrainians imprisoned on politically-motivated charges or for their faith, as well as their families. A recent legislative initiative not only gave Ukraine’s Security Service the role of deciding who qualifies, but also effectively means that prisoners themselves would not be eligible for support until after their release.
